#3 The Colonial

The over 200 year old ruins of three rooms at the front of the property are now part of Casita #3, the “Colonial”, the largest of the casitas, with easiest access and fewest steps up.

There’s an old Colonial style living room, double wooden doors and windows salvaged from the ruins, gas fireplace, built in cushioned bancas, skylights, and sixteen foot ceilings. The old-fashioned authentic Mexican-style Talavera-tiled kitchen is fully equipped: 3 burner stovetop, toaster, microwave, coffeemaker and grinder.

In the living room is a small work or eating space table,  32″ wide screen TV, cable and DVD.  Excellent collection of good reading, original paintings, crafts and textiles from the Mideast and Latin America. King bed in bedroom (up 3 steps from kitchen) has a memory foam mattress, excellent closet space for long stay visitors;  4 more steps up to private bath with shower, hair dryer provided. Just outside your casita, follow the ”caracol” iron staircase to Colonial Casita’s private roof garden terrace with gangbusters views of San Miguel. There’s an umbrella table, chairs for sunny views of La Parroquia cathedral, plants galore, great place for a sensational sunset gathering.
